Hi, my name is Cory Seay. I'm from Warner Robins, GA. Writing is not my favorite thing to do, but I enjoy typing and expressing myself in various ways. I'm a huge UGA fan and really hope that they do well in football this fall. Tennis is my favorite sport and I have been playing it since I was really little. It's something that I have learned a lot from. Discipline and being able to be independent and solve problems as well as wakeup at the crack of dawn come in handy in college. I play on the tennis team at Mississippi College. My family is very important to me and next to God they are my life. I have a little brother, Cameron, and my loving parents. They all baby me too much, but they only do it because they care. College has been a great experience and I have met a lot of great people. Shawreth, the service club that I'm in at MC, has been great for me because I have grown socially, spiritually, and emotionally since joining the club.
God is my main focus and He has been a guiding light in my life. I personally feel that I would not be here if He were not in my life. The church I attend is First Presbyterian Jackson. I love the church because the preaching is amazing and it is very traditional. The church is fairly strict with the dress code, but the people are very friendly and the pastor is amazing and it is advised that you bring a pen and paper to take notes. He thoroughly goes over every verse he reads and makes the message from the Bible come to life. This is one reason why I chose this church since I am not a Presbyterian.
I love to spend time with my friends and will play just about anything sports wise. Energetic and playful are two words that describe me fairly well because I can play sports all day and spending time with my friends in general is a past time. Meeting new people is fun and interesting because we are all different and it is always great to be around people that differ from me. This is one reason why I enjoy being a Shawreth because we are all different and have different ideas, but enjoy being with each other. I consider this a strength and something we enjoy because it keeps things interesting because variety is the spice of life.
