When I first came to Mississippi College last year, I was an energetic freshman ready to take on the world. I was so hyper that I turned several people off because they thought I was obnoxious and to some degree I was. Last year I basically was a bouncy ball because I just would be so high strung when chatting with people and doing whatever I was doing. I really was too crazy for my own good.
I have grown out of this crazy stage somewhat because although I am highly enthusiastic when I meet people I do not go quite as crazy. Also, I have grown in my relationships with people because I have used my time at MC to get to know some really great people such as my Shawreth brothers. Being in Shawreth has helped me mature as a person and helped shape who I am today. I give all of my friends at MC credit for my change because they spent time with me and helped me use my energy in a productive way.
Also, I have grown in the way I deal with my hardships. I used to just sit in my room and sulk for hours on end all by myself. Now I talk about my issues with my close friends and let the pain out as opposed to letting it build up inside me. This helped me a lot since it is much healthier and has helped show me how expressing myself is a good thing.
