Homecoming Weekend

This weekend was homecoming and everyone was so excited. There was so much to do on campus from follies, to cheers, to floats. It was absolutely amazing just how much stuff was going on. The game came after all of this on Saturday, but there was so much leading up to the game. I thought all of the follies' skits were really good and that everyone did their best. Carrie Kirk, who was on of the hosts, was absolutely hilarious. She basically stole the show. Civitan won follies, but they had the best performance. Their dance was flawless and very well choreographed.

After the skits on Friday night, I celebrated the fun with some of my friends. Shawreth did get second in follies which was very good in the stiff competition. The cheers were on Saturday, but everyone setup a table for their club or tribe and had food and drink for the members. It is always great to see all of the clubs and tribes together because it shows great school spirit. Also, the cheers were all so unique and really matched the clubs and tribes unique style. I was thrilled with how well Shawreth did in their cheer and that we got second again.

Later in the afternoon was the parade with all of the floats. The floats are always different and are always well done. Everyone works hard to make their float look the best it possibly can. It is also cool that the people on the floats throw candy into the crowd because the children really enjoy that. Once again Shawreth did well and tied for third place in the float competition. I was proud of the associates for working hard and placing in every competition because that is very difficult to do. Everyone works hard and does well at all of the competitions. This was my weekend and it was very full.
